Our work together
If you're anywhere near the extensions world, you already know the name. Ester is a K-tip expert and the go to for precision, quality, and the kind of craft you can feel the second you sit in her chair. She's also one of the most sought after educators in the space, teaching other stylists how to actually master the method instead of just performing it. With a background in psychology and a reputation for precision artistry, she built the HBE Method to raise the standard in both hair and education. Today Hair By Ester spans bespoke K-tip services, ethically sourced single donor hair, and advanced stylist training.
Where she was when she came to me
Ester wasn't struggling, she was killing it. Booked, respected, in demand as an educator, and she had built every bit of it with her own two hands and her own method. Nobody handed her any of it.
So why hire a brand studio? Because she'd already proven the concept. And once you've proven the concept, the next level is a strategy decision, not a hustle decision. There's no more room left in the day. That's exactly the moment brand and strategy are supposed to join you, not to fix anything, but to multiply what's already working.
She came to me with a huge vision and she was ready for her brand to meet her where she was actually operating.
She came to me with a huge vision and she was ready for her brand to meet her where she was actually operating.
What we built first
The Powerhouse. Brand strategy, visual identity, and web design, in that order, on purpose.
Strategy came weeks before a single color or font. Who is Ester in one sentence. Who is she for. What does she own that nobody else in her space can claim. The answer was the HBE Method, so we made the method the center of gravity for the entire brand. That one decision made every choice after it easy.
Then the real architectural problem. Hair By Ester was never one business. It was three: services, hair, and education, each with its own buyer. Most brands in that spot end up looking like three separate companies wearing the same logo. We built one identity strong enough to hold all three, so a stylist who found her through education could buy her hair, and a client in her chair could find her way into a course, without any of it feeling like a different brand.
The positioning we held to: she isn't another extension artist. She's the standard setter. Transformation, critical thinking, and results as the throughline in every single piece.
Then the website, built to make all of that land in about five seconds.
What's happened since
This round wasn't about catching anything up. It was about legacy.
We talked about what she wants her name to mean in ten years, and then we built for that instead of for right now. Brand strategy again, at a higher altitude. Digital design across the brand. And a full Shopify redesign, so the product side could finally operate at the same level as the education side.
-
The Blueprint and The Artistry, with over 500 students enrolled between them. What started as online training now runs live in New York, where she teaches the class in person.
-
She built and owns The 5 Ponytail System, her own proprietary method. That's the difference between being excellent at a technique and owning the one other stylists pay to come learn.
-
Three brands under one identity: Hair By Ester for services, HBE Edu for education, and Haus of Hair for product. Each one has its own buyer and its own job, and not one of them is competing with the others for attention.
Now it’s your turn
Ready for a brand that can hold what you're building?
The Powerhouse is brand strategy, visual identity, and web design for the woman who's already proven the concept.
