Our Work Together
Tish found me on Instagram, off a post I made about getting shit done. She had eight years of a studio in Queens that women genuinely love, and she wanted the website to finally feel like walking into it. She was clear on two things from the first conversation: it had to feel like coming home, and her culture had to stay front and center instead of getting toned down for the sake of looking modern. So we didn't strip anything out. We took the pink she's already known for and built a real palette around it, so the color still does its job but has room to move. It reads fresh, and it still reads like her.
The bigger thing to solve was who the site had to work for. Her classes have little girls, women in their twenties, and women who have been moving their whole lives, sometimes all in the same room. Design it for one of them and you lose the rest. So we built it around the thing they all have in common, which is how it feels to walk in the door. The structure is simple and quick, because a mom booking a class from her car isn't going to hunt around for anything. The warmth comes from the color, the photos, and the way it's written. Eight years of a room that already works, and now a website that feels the same way.
In her words:
“Thank you so much for your amazing job on the website. It’s better than I imagined and I appreciate you understanding the nuances of culture, but still bringing it back into a classy & functional space. ”
